I am a performance artist and dancer from Cleveland, Ohio and living in West Texas.

I make performances with the body. I use postmodern dance practices of embodiment to explore vulnerability, the fluidity of time, and interpersonal and interspecies relationships. I make performances with other people, artists, musicians, ceramicists, animals, landscapes, water, clay, and other nonhuman entities. I thrive in collaboration with other beings, in situ, in full experience of environments and in response to structures and institutions. The pushback of a power structure, architecture or another body allows me to lift, loft, suspend, weightless for a moment.
My performances are vulnerable, playful, improvisational, and subvert expectations of the body in motion, of how to be in the world. The audience is invited to slow down, experience time differently, to be in relationship with me, with themselves, each other, and their environment in unexpected ways. I writes scores that are at the same time poems, open-ended movement choreographies, and thought experiments that invite the reader or performer to engage in radical presence and empathy, to expand possibilities of movement and perception. I explore novel and engaging ways of documenting performance using GoPro cameras, multichannel videos, field recordings, psychic sessions, found objects, improvised sculptures, and ephemera from performances. I display documentation in unexpected ways in video installations, engaging the space and the body of the viewer in order to de-center the human perspective and to transmit more than how a performance looks, but also how it feels and moves.
